The last 6 months have flown by and I’ve just started to wean my little one. At first I was anxious about starting, but my Top 5 Weaning Products made the process a breeze.

Number 1: WeeSprout Baby Food Freezer Trays
One of my aims when weaning was to limit the amount of plastics used. You hear so much now a days about harmful plastics that I wanted to make every effort to use safe options. Freezer trays were my first concern. Making fresh purée each day just was not going to happen so freezing purée was a must. These colourful trays from Wee Sprout are perfect for the job.
Free of BPA, PVC, lead, phthalate and other toxins means there are no worries. What’s more they are so easy to fill, clip the lid on and pop in the freezer.
When it comes to popping out the frozen purée the flexible silicon makes it a doddle to pop out enough for your little bundle of joy! Thank you Wee Sprout.
Buy them in the UK here.
Number 2: Reuseable Pouches.
My next thought was feeding my little munchkin whilst out and about. Once again WeeSprout have already thought of this! Reusable pouches, what a great idea!
Pop the frozen purée blocks into the bottom of the pouch, seal up the double seal and leave in the fridge overnight. When morning comes grab the pouch and go. You then have a home cooked purée ready to squeeze out onto a spoon for your little one where ever you are.
Whats more there is no wastage as the food is kept away from contact with the spoon. So if your little one turns his nose up at lunch, pop the lid on the pouch and try again at dinner! (Only keep the food for as long as recommended).
These pouches are free from BPA, PVC and phthalate.
If you are in the UK buy them from here.
Number 3: Onco Baby Bamboo Bowl and Spoon Set
Going back to my earlier aim of not using plastic, these fantastic bamboo bowls are a winner. Made from FDA approved material the bowl and spoon set are a great alternative.
The suction bottom enables the toddler to feed themselves without fear of them tipping food everywhere, but also the sucker detaches to make it easier for older children to carry the bowl full of snacks.
For now though it’s great for me to serve purée in knowing no harmful plastics are involved.
They look pretty fancy too!

Number 4: JoJo Maman Bebe Insulated Food Bag
These stylish insulated bags from JoJo Maman Bebe are fantastic for transporting all the delicious food. Taken straight from the fridge in the morning the puree is kept cool right through to lunch.
It’s surprising how much can be tucked away inside too. No one will go hungry with one of these!
Number 5: Ikea Glass Tubs
These little glass tubs from IKEA are amazing. Made with oven safe glass they have (so far) made it through being dropped and thrown into the car. They are tough little cookies.
Again pop out your frozen puree into the tub and off you go.
They are microwave and dishwasher safe.
Perfect for storing and carrying all sorts of puree and snacks. These were a great find!
So that’s my list of Top 5 Weaning Products. Without these I’d be in a pickle!
Next week I will be hosting GIVEAWAYS of my Top 5 Weaning Products
